Introduces new specialty shops area
American Girl Place (Middleton, Wis.) unveiled a newly-expanded New York store, designed by Gensler, with an avenue of specialty shops filled with accessories, design-it-yourself t-shirts, treats to-go and a pet store featuring doll-sized furry friends. The area is designated with a streetscape setting that’s scaled to youth-sized shoppers.
The New York store, which opened in 2003, also includes the brand’s familiar signature cafe, doll hair salon and photo studio, as well as a newly-remodeled personal shopping area.
