A&P Owner Sells Six Stores

Part of company’s turnaround strategy

Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. (Montvale, N.J.), the owner of the A&P supermarket chain and other grocery stores, has entered into an agreement with Winstanley Enterprises LLC to sell six Pathmark stores for $89.8 million.

Winstanley will buy all of the company's interest in the stores located in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
