The GlobalShop booth by Bay Area Display (San Francisco) was named Best in Show in the Visual Merchandising Pavilion for the second straight year in VM+SD's annual competition. (It also won an Award of Merit at the 2000 show.) Winntech (Kansas City, Mo.) was judged to have had the best booth in the Store Fixturing Show.

Awards of Merit went, on the fixture side, to Fleetwood Industries (Reading, Pa.); JP Metal America (Montreal); and DuPont Corian (Wilmington, Del.). Runners-up on the visual side were Edron (Miami); Lifestyle Forms and Display (New York); and Perspectives (Export, Pa.).

Judges were David Kepron, Kepron Architect (Englewood, N.J.); Mimi Lettunich, 24/7 (Portland, Ore.); and Laura Delestowicz-Wierzbowski and Steve Wierzbowski, WDW Design (Chicago).

Photos of these booths and coverage of GlobalShop will appear in the June 2002 issue of VM+SD.
