U.K. brand’s largest U.S. store set for Michigan Avenue

Topshop (London) is getting ready to open its second U.S. store, this one on Chicago’s famed Michigan Avenue, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

The U.K. retailer made its debut here in 2009 with its first flagship in New York’s SoHo. At 49,000 square feet, the Chicago store, which will open in September, will be the largest one in the U.S.

Arcadia Group, owned by Sir Philip Green, is the parent company of Topshop and its men’s sibling, Topman.

The British fast-fashion retailer is also planning a 12,000-square-foot store in Toronto later in September, and a São Paulo location in February 2012.
