MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Chute Gerdeman Retail (Columbus, Ohio) has promoted the following: Corey Dehus to creative director, brand communications; Elaine Evans to senior designer, brand communications; Steve Johnson to senior designer, design implementation; and George Waite to program manager, design implementation. In addition, the firm has hired seven team members at its Columbus headquarters, including: Nicole Faccinto and Michael Munchoff, environments team; Stephen Williams, graphic production; Rodrick Pauley and Karen Simpkins, marketing department; MarCee Gerdes, business development team; and JoAnn Sagraves, human resources.
Denny’s Corp. (Spartanburg, S.C.) has named Debra Smithart-Oglesby as interim ceo of the restaurant chain, succeeding Nelson Marchioli.
Alu s.p.a. (New York) has appointed Emanuele Corvo as managing director of Alu Inc., in charge of marketing and sales activities in North and Latin America. Corvo, who joins the company from Kartell US Inc., where he was managing director, will be based at Alu’s New York offices.
Smashburger (Denver) has appointed Greg Creighton to chief operating officer of the fast-casual “better burger” chain. Creighton, who joined the company in 2008, will oversee all operations of corporate and franchise Smashburger restaurants.

Invista’s Performance Surfaces & Materials division (Atlanta) announced that the Antron brand has introduced the “Getting it Right in Its First Life” platform, featuring products and practices that are focused on providing long-term product performance supported by materials and responsible manufacturing.
