Sascha Bopp will succeed Barbara Turf

Northbrook, Ill.-based Crate and Barrel is promoting chief operating officer Sascha Bopp to ceo. Bopp will take over for Barbara Turf who is retiring from her post as president and ceo in April.
In addition, the home products retailer has appointed Marta Calle, director of the retailer’s CB2 brand, to president of the retail chain and online merchant. Calle will report to Bopp and oversee marketing and merchandising.
Prior to joining Crate and Barrel in 2009, Bopp was managing director and chief financial officer of Primondo GmbH, a multichannel retailer in Germany.
