New Home Depot Expo store part of Westwood Village revitalization

Published

on

The Home Depot (Atlanta) has opened a new Expo Design Center in Los Angeles. The 93,800-square-foot facility is on Weyburn Avenue in Westwood Village, in the former Bullock's Westwood building. The 50-year-old building has been vacant since 1999. The new store is regarded as key to a Westwood revitalization project.

The 36th store in the Expo Design Center chain has a newly evolved store concept, what the company calls a “living magazine.” Household design and dŽcor products are arranged in lifestyle displays that “bring full-room scenes to life.”

Expo Design Center was founded in 1991 with the first store, in Home Depot's home city of Atlanta. There are now stores in 11 states and Expo Design Center operates as a division of The Home Depot parent company.
