Friedman's Inc., the Savannah, Ga. jewelry retailer, announces theappointment of Douglas Anderson as the new president and coo.

Anderson was previously the president and ceo of Thorn Americas Inc., acredit-based electronic and furniture rental operation. He also servedas president and ceo of Brookstone Inc. (Nashua, N.H.). Friedman's ceo,Bradley Stinn, said, “We are very excited to add Doug to the Friedman'smanagement team. He brings impressive leadership and general managementskills, including extensive experience managing large-scale retailoperations, both domestically and internationally.”
