Co-branded collection will launch in May

MG Icon, a joint venture between Iconix Brand Group and Madonna and Guy Oseary, is creating its first designer accessories collection, MDG, with designer-duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
The collection marks the first co-branded project for Dolce and Gabbana, as well as Madonna's first foray into eyewear.
Luxottica plans to manufacture the MDG line, which will retail from $248 to $289. It will be sold at Dolce & Gabbana stores worldwide, plus Sunglass Hut locations and select opticians.
MG Icon LLC is a joint venture between Iconix, which owns 50 percent, and an entity controlled by Madonna and Guy Oseary, which owns the other half. MG Icon focuses on developing business initiatives globally, including the creation and acquisition of brands, as well as exploring opportunities within the Iconix portfolio. The company also holds a direct-to-retail license agreement with Macy's Inc. for the "Material Girl" collection, a newly created, fast-fashion junior collection.
Iconix Brand Group owns, licenses and markets a growing portfolio of consumer brands, including Candie’s, Bongo, Joe Boxer and Rampage.
