Footwear retailer plans 10 new stores for 2010
Branded footwear specialty retailer DSW Inc. (Columbus, Ohio) reported net sales of $402.6 million for the fourth quarter ended January 30, 2010, compared with net sales of $348.2 million for the same period last year. Company same-store sales rose 12.9 percent versus a drop of 7.2 percent last year.
For the year ended January 30, 2010, net sales were $1.60 billion and same-store sales were up 3.2 percent.
For fiscal 2010, the company estimates comparable stores sales in the low-single digit range and 2010 annual diluted earnings per share of approximately $1.35 to $1.45.
DSW Inc. operates 306 stores in 39 states.
