Locations will start hitting Birmingham, Ala., by year’s end

Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin' Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with two franchise groups to develop 24 new restaurants in Alabama over the next several years.
Barista Food LLC, led by the Ramon Arias family, will develop 16 restaurants in Birmingham, with the first located expected to open later this year. Coffee Cafe Inc. plans to open eight restaurants in the area starting in 2013.
