Teva’s first retail store tells an authentic adventure story. “Stories, personal messages and recommendations from Teva employees and brand ambassadors are linked to specific Teva products in multiple categories and are changed seasonally,” according to Craig Wollen, principal, creative director, Huen (Portland, Ore.).

Themed “live better stories,” displays invite customers to connect with Teva product and personal adventure stories. Judges praised the store’s unaffected, outdoorsy feel, which is bolstered by tangible items, quotes, recommendations and photography from Teva staff and athletes. “It’s not too slick; it’s got that earthiness to it,” says judge Michael Brindley (Fitch, Columbus).

Seasonal footwear suspended with Teva’s signature straps adds athletic energy. Nearby, another familiar element in Teva sandals – the durable foam footbeds used in sandals – is used as the base for footwear displays, while handwritten messages on product signage and glass paneling add a personal touch.
