Patina-V vp and creative director George Martin has left the company. Martin plans to use his design experience and personal background to work as a creative consultant in diverse design fields.
Premier Store Fixtures (Hauppauge, N.Y.) hired Glen Cacioppo as executive vp of sales and marketing. Cacioppo previously served as vp of business development at Leggett & Platt.
STORE OPENINGS
Columbus, Ohio-based footwear and accessories retailer DSW Shoe Warehouse opened a store at Bay Harbour Mall in Lawrence, N.Y. DSW operates 328 stores in 40 states.
Fruit arrangement company Edible Arrangements Intl. Inc. opened its first store in Mumbai, India. The retailer operates 1092 locations in 12 countries worldwide.

Amsterdam-based design firm Storeage opened a full-service retail strategy and design office in Beijing. Li Kang will head the new location.
Brand strategy and design firm Bova Creative (Powell, Ohio) launched “Design Intercept,” which offers graphic communications, commercial and retail interior design packages as part of its price-fixed program.
Kohl’s Department Stores (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) received its third Green Partner of the Year Award by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Department of Energy and the Center for Resource Solutions. In 2011, Kohl’s purchased 1.4 billion kilowatt-hours of renewable energy, offsetting more than 100 percent of the company’s purchased electricity use.
Lighting manufacturer Martin Professional’s (Aarhus, Denmark) Dutch distributor, Fairlight, has opened three new showrooms at its offices in Bemmel, Holland. The new facilities include an entertainment-focused showroom, an LED application center and a space dedicated to more in-depth product demonstrations.
Lighting manufacturer MaxLite (West Caldwell, N.J.) formed a strategic partnership with Redwood Systems (Fremont, Calif.) to integrate its MaxLED LED luminaires into Redwood’s lighting control product line.
