Store Openings/New Contracts:

Echeverria Design Group (Coral Gables, Fla., design firm) has been retained by Rock Jewelers to provide space planning, interior design services and graphics for its new 1500-square-foot boutique, slated to open in October at The Mall at Millenia (Orlando).

Mergers/Acquisitions:

To Market (Los Angeles materials supplier) has formed a joint sales and marketing alliance with Constantine, (Dalton, Ga., carpet manufacturer). The combined sales force of 55 representatives and agents will market both companies'products to the commercial marketplace.

FRCH Design Worldwide (Cincinnati design firm) has hired Dan Reynolds as director of new media/graphics. In this newly created position, Reynolds is responsible for keeping clients at the forefront of changing visual trends and professional practices. Reynolds brings 10 years experience, most recently serving as principal/partner for Redstone Creative.

Triad Architects (Columbus, Ohio, architecture and interior design firm) has added Peter Macrae, former president of Columbus-based Retail Design Group Architecture, to its design team. Macrae has 25 years of experience, and will be responsible for expanding Triad's client base into the private sector and act as the consulting principal for these projects.

estorefixture.com, a Davaco Co. (Dallas fixturing and installation web site) has hired Gena Kay Dixon as director of estorefixture.com. Dixon previously worked at Blockbuster Entertainment and Expertcity Inc., where she managed professional services and web development.

Poulin + Morris (New York design firm) has announced that principal Douglas Morris has been elected president of the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD). Morris will serve a two-year term, overseeing the board of directors and its members. He recently served as vp of the organization.

Arlon Inc. (Santa Ana, Calif., substrate and vinyl film manufacturer) has added Greg Markowitz as product coordinator for Signtech products and Asian accounts. Markowitz most recently worked as account coordinator for USA Today.

LSI Industries Inc. (Cincinnati lighting and graphics manufacturer) has opened its LSI Lightron facility in the Hudson Valley World Trade Center (New Windsor, N.Y.). LSI Lightron provides commercial lighting products for the commercial, retail and utility markets. The new facility houses all its operations, including an area for stocking products and an image center for customer meetings and product demonstrations.

W.A.C. Lighting (Garden City, N.Y., lighting manufacturer) has announced that Larry Williams, formerly of Ronald W. Likes Co., has established Williams Lighting Source LLC, the firm's sales agency in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. The agency is located at 135th St., Kearney, MO 64060. Interior Products Inc. (Brunswick, Ga., substrate manufacturer) has added four new manufacturer representatives to its sales team. QBC Sales will cover Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio; Georgetown Marketing will cover Indiana, Michigan and Ohio; The Blackburn Co. will be responsible for Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, North and South Dakota; and Boyd and Co. will handle Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.
