Brian Lichtenberg’s collection will launch next month in 200 Forever 21 stores
Forever 21 (Los Angeles) is the latest retailer to partner with celebrity designers. Up first, the fast-fashion retailer will work with Brian Lichtenberg on a new line of bold graphic T-shirts and tank tops, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
“We wanted to work with Brian because he is a true L.A. talent who encompasses L.A. culture and style,” says Linda Chang, a spokeswoman for Forever 21.
Lichtenberg says he hopes the collaboration will broaden his designs to a larger audience. While his pieces for Forever 21 will start at $14, his boutique line, which will be available at Bloomingdale’s this fall, ranges from tops wholesaling for $40 to $80 and dresses for $180 to $300.
“It is going to be for the customer that is younger and has seen my work on celebrities and musicians, but doesn’t have the money to plunk down for my main line,” he told WWD. “This is definitely going to be a great opportunity to be on a more global scale.”
