Stein Mart Inc. (Jacksonville, Fla.), an off-price apparel retailer, has hired Gregory Kleffner as its cfo. Kleffner succeeds James Delfs, whose pending retirement was announced earlier this year. Kleffner was previously with the Kellwood Co.
MC² (Chestnut Ridge, N.Y.), a designer of exhibit systems and permanent and mobile environments, has hired Philip Lauzon as design director for its southwest division.
STORE OPENINGS
Forever 21 Inc. (Los Angeles), a fast-fashion apparel retailer, has opened a 38,000-square-foot store in San Juan, Puerto Rico, its first locale in that country and its first in Latin America.
DSW (Columbus, Ohio), a branded footwear retailer, has opened its first store in the Spokane, Wash., market.
City Sports (Boston), a specialty sports retailer, has opened a new store in Dedham, Mass., its seventh in the Boston market.
MERGERS/ACQUISITIONS
Light Sources Inc., LCD Lighting Inc., LightTech Lamp Technology Kft., and Masonlite Ltd. (Orange, Conn.), a consortium of commercial lamp manufacturers, has acquired Voltarc Technologies (Waterbury, Conn.), a manufacturer of fluorescent and neon sign lighting components, specialty fluorescent lamps, ultraviolet curing lamps and related lamp holders and wiring devices.

Wireless Ronin Technologies Inc. (Minneapolis), a digital signage provider, announced that NEC Display Solutions of America Inc. (Itasca, Ill.) has become an authorized reseller of its RoninCast software.
