There will be two free keynote sessions and a supersession during StoreXpo, taking place Dec. 7-9, 2005, in New York. StoreXpo is the trade show for the visual merchandising and store design industry featuring exhibitors at the Javits Conventin Center and in participating showrooms around Manhattan.

On Wednesday, December 7, at 9:30 a.m. in the Javits, James Damian, senior vp for Best Buy’s experience development group, will speak on the “Customer-Centric Store Execution.”

On Thursday, December 8, Dr. Raymond Burke, professor of business administration at Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business, will discuss “Retail Shoppability: 10 Principles for Converting Shoppers.”

On Wednesday morning at 11:30, during a one-hour supersession, Ron Pompei, founder of Pompei A.D. (New York), will talk about “The Future of C3: Commerce, Culture and Community.” “It's a unique design philosophy that recognizes the psychographic and kinesthetic interests of customers,” says Pompei. “C3 revitalizes typical retail venues, transforming them into meeting places where people connect.” Pompei will show how clients, including Sony, Coca-Cola, Kmart, The Discovery Channel, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Harley Davidson, Levi's and MTV, have harnessed the power of C3 for their brands. The supersession will be sponsored by the National Association of Display Industries (NADI).
