Gap Inc. (San Francisco) has opened the doors to a new store in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, on Broadway at Spring Street.
The new 8000-square-foot location centers on Gap’s new 1969 Premium Jeans collection and will rotate in hand-selected pieces from the current season’s collection, starting with Holiday ‘09.
The store interior carries a New York downtown feel with materials used in a modern and clean way, including wooden sawhorse tables and plywood cubes and a denim wall constructed of industrial metal shelving and acrylic panels. "SoHo captures the true essence of fashion in New York and boldly embodies the power of personal style,” says Ivy Ross, executive vp, marketing for Gap North America.
The San Francisco-based retailer’s more upscale Banana Republic also unveiled a new revamped SoHo store, at 552 Broadway, this week.
