Designer Dozen: We're looking for professionals age 35 and under making a difference in their firms with fresh ideas, innovative methods and get-it-done attitudes. If there's a rock star among your coworkers, supervisees or peers, nominate him or her – you can even nominate yourself. This program – now in its fourth year – has grown in recognition and influence, and it’s a great way to acknowledge and celebrate up-and-coming talent. International Visual Competition: Our July issue’s 21^st annual International Visual Competition celebrates achievement in visual merchandising, storewide promotions and window displays. Visit vmsd.com/visual-competition for details and an entry form. Deadline: February 19.

Retail Renovation Competition: Design firms, construction companies, retailers and suppliers are invited to submit store projects for our September issue’s 21^st annual competition showcasing outstanding renovation work. Find the entry form at vmsd.com/renovation-competition. Deadline: April 9.

Call for IRDC 2015 Speakers: It seems like we just wrapped up IRDC 2014, held in Miami Beach, Fla. last September, but we’re in full planning mode for IRDC 2015, slated for Sept. 9-11 in Austin, Texas. Thanks to those supporting our conference with attendance, session presentations and sponsorships. Interested in presenting a session this year? Retail Design Firm Resource Guide: A go-to industry resource for 21 years, the May issue’s Retail Design Firm Resource Guide offers the latest comprehensive list of contract design firms to call upon for store projects. Each listing includes the firm’s contact information and notable projects completed in 2014. We also rank the firms by design fees provided by participating firms.
