Architectural Group International (AGI), Covington, Ky.-based architecture and store design firm, has announced it will open a new office and a new division in Dallas. Heading the new office will be former Robert Young Associates executive David Cassidy.

Cassidy, now principal architect of AGI West, is an architect, interior designer, project manager and construction manager who has worked with Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's and Metro Department Stores in Singapore and Indonesia, as well as with IBM, AT&T, Bank One, Texas Commerce Bank and several shopping center developments.

AGI, founded in 1997 by architect and former Federated Department Stores executive Harry Sparks, is comprised of a collaborative of design professionals, and has a portfolio of more than 100 department store and specialty store projects. The team includes store design veteran John Heatherman, proprietor of his own Cincinnati-based Retail Design Collaborative.

The Cassidy-run Dallas office will be termed the West office for AGI. The Covington office, directly across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, will become the firm's East office.
