Goldsmith Trades One Breathtaking New York View for Another

New York October 10, 2016 Goldsmith, the premier designer and manufacturer or mannequins since 1927, is pleased to announce the opening of their new showroom in the historic Garment District.  Trading the riverside view for a terrace overlooking the Empire State Building, Goldsmith’s showroom is located at 501 Seventh Avenue (corner of 37th & 7th).

Located in the penthouse, Goldsmith’s new showroom stayed true to the original architecture with a raw lofty feel.  The two galleries feature a unique approach of merchandising the space with a mix of full size forms, as well as scaled down minis displayed in vitrines.  Clients can also use this space as their home away from home, utilizing the library as a work space and enjoying the unparalleled views from the terrace.  Moreover, the space is just blocks away from FIT and the fashion industry, as well as near Penn Station and Madison Square Garden Station.

“Thanks to the recent initiatives by both New York City and the CFDA, the once ailing Fashion District is now bursting with young talent.  Goldsmith’s move reaffirms our commitment to New York City and the visual industry, leading the way back to the heart of the American fashion industry,” stated Dan Evans, Brand President of Goldsmith.

“Much like their visual designs, Goldsmith is ahead of the curve, returning to Fashion Avenue,” shared renowned designer, Daniel Trimbach.  “As the oldest mannequin company in the U.S., Goldsmith is a recognized leader in the visual industry and making this move sets the precedence for others as we see a resurgence of this incredible neighborhood.”

Bernhard Weinstabel, Vice President for CBRE shared, “having worked together for more than 20 years, it is clear that Goldsmith continues to be on the cutting edge wherever that takes them.  In this case, it has landed them to the Garment District, the fashion capitol of the world where the brand will be in the heart of emerging designers, fashion houses and other industry resources.”
