Hello Kitty Stores to Open

Sanrio (Tokyo) and Universal Parks & Resorts (Orlando, Fla.) announced a partnership to open the first Hello Kitty bricks-and-mortar store. The flagship store will open later this year at Universal Orlando Resort with a second store planned to open at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The stores will be stocked with an assortment of Hello Kitty-branded items, including apparel, home goods, collectibles, stationery and candy. Customers will also be able to custom design merchandise and take photographs with Sanrio characters, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

The stores will also feature a smaller assortment of products from Sanrio’s other characters, including Chococat, Badtz-Maru and Keroppi.
