H&M Plans First Store in South America

Marks first step into the Southern hemisphere

Stockholm, Sweden-based Hennes & Mauritz (H & M) is expanding into the South American market with its first store in Santiago de Chile, Chile. The flagship is expected to open during the first half of 2013 and will be located at the shopping mall Costanera Center.

“It’s our first step into the Southern hemisphere, and we see great potential for further expansion in this fashion conscious region,” says H&M ceo Karl-Johan Persson.
