HMG Sales Is Not In Bankruptcy

HMG Sales, the New York-based manufacturer and distributor of hangers and manufacturing supplies to the apparel industry, is anxious to clear up the confusion that it is not affiliated with the HMG Worldwide Corp. that declared bankruptcy on October 24.

HMG Sales (the former Harwood Marketing Group) is very much alive, healthy and still doing business.

The company that filed for bankruptcy protection last month is the former Howard Marlboro Group, also of New York, a consultant to retailers and brand vendors that had worked with such brands and retailers as l'eggs, Clairol, Walgreens, Microsoft, RadioShack, Coca-Cola, Chanel, Christian Dior, Thom McAn, Kmart and Keebler.
