Store will bring the Southern California lifestyle to SoHo
Abercrombie & Fitch (New Albany, Ohio) plans to open the doors to the first EPIC Hollister store in New York in July. The four-level, 40,000-square-foot store will be located at 600 Broadway, on the southeast corner of Houston and Broadway. "The EPIC store is what Hollister is all about – big waves, surf, sun, and hanging out on the pier," says the company in a statement.
Parent company Abercrombie & Fitch, which also operates the abercrombie and Gilly Hicks nameplates, has strong expansion plans in 2009, including opening an Abercrombie & Fitch flagship in Milan in October and an 11-story Abercrombie & Fitch in Tokyo's Ginza district in December.
The company recently announced it was closing its 29-store Ruehl division, which has struggled to draw sales during the tough economy.
