IKEA (Delft, The Netherlands) will spend about $1.87 million to launch 25 stores in India, according to Reuters. The deal initially stalled over the Indian government’s requirement that 30 percent of materials be locally sourced before IKEA decided to proceed despite the restriction. The stores will be the first IKEA retail locations in India.
