Ingles Names New Ceo

Ingles Markets (Black Mountain, N.C.) has named Jim Lanning as the company's new ceo, effective immediately.

Supermarket News reports Lanning comes to the role after serving as company president for 13 years. Lanning first joined Ingles in 1975.

Lanning will replace Robert Ingle II as ceo, who will continue to serve as company chairman and will hold an operational leadership role.
