Isaia to Open U.S. Flagships

New York, Los Angeles stores part of brand’s expansion plan

Luxury menswear brand Isaia (Naples, Italy) will open its first two U.S. flagships this year: one in New York, the other in Los Angeles. While Isaia currently sells to 230 stores in the U.S., Europe, Canada, the U.K., China, Japan and Russia, it is seeking to expand its own retail presence around the world, according to Women’s Wear Daily. Isaia currently operates nine of its own stores worldwide.

The stores’ designs will incorporate modern and traditional elements. Both will include a custom tailor shop encased in glass so that customers can view the tailoring process. Other features will include a vintage Campari liqueur bar and a red lacquered piano that will serve as a made-to-measure table.

The 3000-square-foot L.A. space, on Brighton Way in Beverly Hills, will feature an ivy-covered exterior and large windows. The 5400-square-foot New York store, on Madison Avenue, will feature a private balcony overlooking the street, two fireplaces, a custom kitchen and an outdoor garden. A spokesman told WWD Isaia wanted enough space to make the store “feel like a club.”
