Carlson • JPM to buy fixture company
Posted April 6, 2009

Leggett & Platt has sold the Dann Dee Display Fixtures name and catalog customer base to Carlson • JPM Store Fixtures (Brooklyn Park, Minn.). Dann Dee provides in-stock, standard fixture, hardware and supplies to smaller, independent, local retailers. Leggett says the sale will not impact any existing manufacturing or importing facilities or capabilities and that all previously shared resources were separated prior to the sale.

The company’s Middlebury, Ind., facility will continue to serve as a distribution point for Leggett. In addition, the import and manufacturing resources of its China Fixtures facility will remain part of the Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures Group and is not impacted by the recent transaction. The China Fixtures operation is also expanding its capabilities and services with a new “direct shipment” program that will deliver product directly to individual stores.

Leggett & Platt is a diversified manufacturer that conceives, designs and produces a broad variety of engineered components and products that can be found in most homes, offices, and automobiles. The 126-year-old firm’s continuing operations are composed of 20 business units, 20,000 employee-partners, and over 160 manufacturing facilities located in 18 countries.
