Louis Vuitton plans to open a flagship for its fine jewelry business in Paris’ Place Vendôme, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

“It’s a corner location with incredible windows,” said Philippe Schaus, Vuitton’s executive vice president, told WWD.

The location will spread out over two levels and is scheduled to open by the end of 2011, joining other jewelry houses, including Boucheron, Van Cleef & Arpels, Chaumet and Mauboussin, in the square.

Architect Peter Marino has been tapped on the design, Schaus told WWD. “We will spare no effort to make this one of the most beautiful jewelry stores in the world,” says Schaus.

Vuitton operates 453 stores around the globe.
