Will add 200 stores in 2011
Spanish clothing retailer Mango plans to open as many as 220 stores in China next year, according to Bloomberg.
Isak Halfon, Mango’s expansion director, says the company aims to open one outlet about every day-and- a-half. It currently operates 100 stores in the country, accounting for 10 percent of the retailer’s sales. “China is growing incredibly fast and has the most potential for store openings,” says Halfon.
Mango opened its first store in China in 2002.
