Meisel Visual Imaging, Dallas-based graphics provider, has announced the purchase of the San Francisco and Portland, Ore., operations of PhotoBition plc (London).

The PhotoBition operations involved include a full-service digital printing facility in San Francisco (plus account services offices in San Francisco and Portland). Meisel will operate the two new offices under the Meisel name and with the existing staffs. The company will now own five Lambda printers, digital die-cutting and fabric printing.

Meisel says the acquisition expands its capabilities to produce and fulfill large-scale and point-of-purchase graphics for national brands and retailers. “The combination of Meisel and PhotoBition allows us to offer increased digital printing capacity,” said Meisel president and ceo George Conant. “National brands these days require high-quality production of p-o-p graphics with delivery to hundreds of locations within a matter of days.”

Meisel's clients have included American Airlines, McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Coach Leather, Mervyn's, Nike, RadioShack and Sharper Image.
