Moose Knuckles Flagship Store Becomes Unique Project

Unique Store Fixtures, North America’s leading millwork fabricator for displays and retail environments, lent a helping hand in creating Moose Knuckles’ first store in North America. The high end Canadian sportswear brand’s new digs, designed by award winning design firm, Burdifilek, is located at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto.

The store’s architecture challenges the traditions of retail with a raw space that reflects the brand’s signature street sensibility. Using glass and steel, Unique Store Fixtures created a 30 ft. wall with infinity glass shelving for endless reflections of the Moose Knuckles products. The remarkable infinity glass shelving is highlighted with LED panels on top and architectural hot rolled steel on the drawers as well as above and below the shelves.

A second display, attached to a spectacular all-white LED wall, shows off four cases made of laminated glass with printed horizontal lines within the glass.

“This was a quick turnaround project where we took the design plans from Burdifilek and created outstanding displays that literally reflect the continuous energy of the Mouse Knuckles brand,” states Ferro Corrente of Unique Store Fixtures. “The use of specialty glass was a large undertaking especially when creating the massive 12 foot x 8 foot mirrors suspended on the wall. These spectacular mirrors, both vertical and horizontal, are supported by a metal structure, and achieve optimal reflections.”

The Moose Knuckles 2,750 sq. ft. flagship store, opened earlier this month with the company’s full Fall/Winter 2017 collection and new product categories such as footwear, bags and exclusive styles. Moose Knuckles was founded in Montreal in 2007, by Mark Peros and Will Poho, and much of its manufacturing is done in Winnipeg with upscale merchandise including weatherproof coats, lightweight jackets, knitwear, shirting, and accessories. In addition to its Toronto store, Moose Knuckles products are available in some of the world’s top retailers. In North America, the brand’s clothing is available at Holt Renfrew, Sporting Life, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, and other leading retailers.
