The Retail Interiors Expo — a joint venture of VM+SD and ExpoNation (Atlanta) — will feature many special events, including a pre-show golf tournament and Chicago retail tour, during the new show, which debuts May 17-18, 2006, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.

Targeting the retail store planning, design and visual merchandising communities, Retail Interiors Expo is designed as a more exclusive event featuring exhibits and presentations of only the most influential and innovative firms in the store fixturing and visual merchandising industry. The exhibit floor will be organized into two distinct and defined pavilions to house store fixtures and visual merchandising products and services. Attendees will include senior executives from retailers, including the nation’s 200 largest retail chains, top 100 specialty chains and leading design firms and top-tiered manufacturers and suppliers.

Several special events will provide additional opportunities to network. The first annual Retail Interiors Expo Golf Tournament will tee off on Tuesday, May 16, at one of Chicago’s premier golf venues with tournament sponsors and attendees.

Also on Tuesday, attendees are invited to participate in a Chicago retail tour hosted by VM+SD’s editor, Steve Kaufman. Kaufman will host a limited number of participants in a “behind the scenes” tour of retail locations and renovations chosen by VM+SD editors in downtown Chicago, including a luncheon hosted by one of the retailers.

Retail Interiors Expo is part of Retail Week, a collaboration and co-location of compatible retail management-oriented events, including Digital Retailing Expo (www.digitalretailingexpo.com) and Retail Construction Expo (www.retailconstructionexpo.com).
