Matt Shay will assume new role in May

The National Retail Federation (NRF) announced that Matt Shay, president and ceo of the International Franchise Association, will replace retiring Tracy Mullin as NRF’s president and ceo.
Prior to joining IFA in 1993, Shay started his career at the Ohio Council of Retail Merchants, a member of NRF’s State Association Council. Mullin has served as NRF’s president and ceo since the early ’90s.
The search committee for a new NRF leader included: Terry Lundgren, president, ceo and chairman, Macy’s Inc.; Roger Farah, president, coo and director, Polo Ralph Lauren Corp.; Keith Lipert, owner, Keith Lipert Gallery; Tracy Mullin; Stephen Sadove, chairman and ceo, Saks; and Kip Tindell, chairman and ceo, The Container Store.
