MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Prolitec Inc. (Milwaukee), a developer of scent and air-treatment products, has named Shari Bjorn its director of national sales. Bjorn will be based in the company’s Seattle office.

Lighting fixture manufacturer SeaChanger (Largo, Fla.) has tapped Stephen Ellison as its product specialist for architectural and theatrical fixtures. Ellison will help customers select products in his new role.

Design firm Shikatani Lacroix (Toronto) is announcing several management changes, including the promotion of Sandra Riano to strategy planner. In addition, the company is welcoming Adam Mintz, strategy planner, Derek Petridis, vp of finance, and Robin Ernstes, director of business development.

STORE OPENINGS
Dick’s Sporting Goods (Pittsburgh) opened a new store in Union, N.J. on May 2. The venue is the company’s sixteenth store in New Jersey; the company has 487 stores nationwide.

The American Dairy Queen Corp. (Minneapolis) is announcing two new locations, including a 680-square-foot DQ Orange Julius in Salinas, Calif. and a 2716-square-foot DQ Grill & Chill in Peoria, Ill. A DQ Orange Julius restaurant in Nashville, which closed in 2010 due to flooding, has also reopened.

BUSINESS BRIEFS
Hollaender Mfg. Co. (Cincinnati) is announcing its new website, which highlights fixturing products made from pipes and slip-on pipe fittings. The products can be configured for use as racks, graphics displays, kiosks, handrails and more.

Process Retail Group (New Berlin, Wis.) has acquired custom-fixture manufacturer Accent Industries Inc. (Kenosha, Wis.). Process Retail Group also manufactures fixtures, but says Accent products appeal to a different customer base, including grocery stores, than its own.

Vira Manufacturing (Perth Amboy, N.J.) was acquired by an ownership group led by one of the company’s founders, Vic Romano. The group also includes four current employees of the company.
