Quiksilver Names Mooney

Quiksilver (Huntington Beach, Calif.) has named Andy Mooney its new president and chief executive officer, Women’s Wear Daily reports. Mooney succeeds Bob McKnight, cofounder, who is now the executive chairman. The changes in the company become effective Jan. 11.

Mooney was most recently chairman of Disney Consumer Products and oversaw the company’s worldwide licensing along with its publishing and retail businesses. Prior to Disney, Mooney worked for Nike Inc. for 20 years, where he founded its equipment business, was chief marketing officer and the general manager of Nike’s apparel business, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
