RadioShack (Fort Worth, Texas) has named Dene Rogers the company’s new ceo, effective May 9. The company’s previous ceo, Ron Garriques, left in January after serving for less than a year. CFO Gordon Briscoe has served as interim ceo since then.

Rogers previously worked as a managing director of Target Australia (North Geelong, Australia), ceo of Sears Canada (Toronto) and evp of Kmart (Hoffman Estates, Ill.). Since he left Target Australia three years ago, he has been working with startups, reports The Dallas Morning News.

He will also join the company’s board of directors and will focus on the long-term growth of the retailer’s omni-channel platform.
