Institute has new office and management team based in Cincinnati

The Retail Design Institute, the largest association for retail design professionals, announces its international offices have relocated to Cincinnati from ARE operations in Florida. Occupying a LEED Platinum office in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, the Institute now makes its home in the industry’s recognized hub of retail design, branding and strategy.

“Cincinnati is a perfect headquarter location for the Institute because of the considerable number of retailers and design firms based here,” explains Andrew McQuilkin, international president of the Retail Design Institute. Macy’s, Kroger and Luxottica, plus consumer products giant Procter & Gamble, have all contributed to the growth of greater Cincinnati-based design consultancies serving them from this consumer-centric city.

In addition to office relocation, the Institute welcomes a new management team. “The Institute's board of directors has contracted with re:media, also based in Cincinnati, to provide services to our members, chapters and international officers,” McQuilkin notes. “re:media’s more than 25 years of experience and knowledge of the retail industry, plus strategic facilitation and their high-service reputation, made their team the obvious choice in helping move our professional organization forward.”
