Concerns about euro-zone debt crisis lead to drop in sales

In Japan, a recently released report from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed slow retail sales in June, the International Business Times reports. Despite reporting modest economic growth, the Ministry noted that year-on-year sales were down to 0.2 percent in June, compared to 3.6 percent in May. The Times cited uncertainty about the euro-zone debt crisis as a potential cause for the lag.
