ISP/VM+SD Store Design Competition Winner

For Robinsons’ first store in Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia, the Singapore-based retailer repositioned itself as a contemporary yet romantic specialty department store. Taking inspiration from the mall name – The Garden – the store’s circular ceiling details mimic ripples on a pond and create visual interest overhead. And in the handbag area, curved shelf supports suggest bamboo poles.

Throughout the multilevel store, small details make a big impact. Elegant chandeliers denote the bedding area. Inset bookshelves lend masculinity to the men’s department. And in the young women’s department, illuminated square wall cutouts and mod furniture give a fashion-forward feel.

The design that they made for the Robinsons Department Store, Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia was a great idea and concept in which the the theme is The Garden. In which some part of the the Department Store are design for that concept like the ripple effects of a pond and curve shelf has a support for bamboo but some part of the Store has some nice designs like the one on the pictures. This is going to be one of the nicest Department Stores you will see. Gauthier, Houghtaling and Williams
