SDA Lighting Showcase 2014 Attracts Over 1,500 Attendees and Features Award-winning Lighting Installation

Stan Deutsch Associates hosts a record crowd at SDA Lighting Showcase 2014 in Manhattan.

NEW YORK  CITY – Stan Deutsch Associates (SDA) hosted over 1,500 New York City metro area designers during SDA Lighting Showcase 2014 held in Manhattan on Sept 15^th – 17^th. Billed as New York City’s Premier Lighting Exhibition, the three-day event featured the latest innovations from over 70 top-quality lighting manufacturers and drew record crowds of professionals from the design and architecture community.

SDA Lighting Showcase 2014 provided a regional stage for the New York City metro area design community to learn about the latest product designs and technology from SDA’s versatile lines of commercial, institutional, retail and hospitality lighting and controls manufacturers.  Attendees were able to experience hands-on demonstrations of award-winning architectural lighting products, controls, and light sources, as well as the finest outdoor street lighting and landscape fixtures and more—all within one space.

As guests entered SDA Lighting Showcase 2014 they were greeted with a beautiful light sculpture created by Eclectic Precision.   The #WorldofLight Design Competition award-winning design featured a variety of organically shaped panels simulating a moving “Geo-Tree”.  The kinetic lighting installation came to life with a variety of light patterns and hues made possibly with programmed RGB lighting.

As the foremost New York City-based specification and architectural lighting sales agency, SDA hosts this lighting showcase to provide an opportunity for the design public to stay abreast of the latest products and technologies from the more than 80 manufacturers SDA represents.  The event is open to New York City  metro area architects; lighting designers; engineers; interior designers; specifiers; hospitality designers and planners; electrical distributors; landscape architects; retail designers and visual merchandising managers; lighting consultants and other industry professionals. Plans for the next SDA Lighting Showcase are underway for Fall 2016.
