Spiess Moves to Marketing Firm

Ex-RPA partner joins Columbus-based 10 Worldwide

Aaron Spiess, a partner in charge of development at Retail Planning Associates (Columbus, Ohio) for the past seven years, has been named a partner and chief marketing officer of 10 Worldwide, a new Columbus-based marketing company. Spiess will be responsible for overseeing business development for the 10 Worldwide network of agencies and the development of all 10 Worldwide marketing initiatives.

10 Worldwide companies is a consulting firm specializing in research, brand strategy, product development, identity design, retail merchandising and environments, digital design, corporate communications, marketing communications, public relations and advertising. It is based in Columbus, but also has offices in Pittsburgh, New York, Tampa and Orlando. Its clients include The Limited, Hewlett-Packard, Sony, Ford Motor Co., Dewars, Nationwide Insurance and Fidelity Investments. The company is led by chairman and ceo Martin Beck (the former ceo of Fitch); president and chief cc3o (“clients, creative and culture”) Nancy J. Kramer; and president and coo Rick Milenthal.

According to the company's announcement, Spiess will work closely with the 11 Worldwide managing partners “to guide clients into the world of opportunities created by the company¶s new approach to holistic marketing services. 10 Worldwide offers strategically infused marketing solutions that impact all client brand channels: retail, digital, marketing communications, and advertising.”

“Spiess brings a strong background in high-end strategic development, marketing services and design,” said Beck. “His innovative approaches are perfectly suited for this company.”

During his time at RPA, Spiess worked with such brands as e*Trade, PepsiCo, Microsoft, AutoZone, DaimlerChrysler, Universal Studios, Frito-Lay and BMW. He had previously spent three years as head of business development at Cowan & Associates Architects, a retail architectural/design firm, where he worked with such retailers as Ann Taylor, Casual Corner and Warner Bros. Studio Stores.
