Staples Nominates New Directors for Board

Staples Inc. (Brighton, Mass.) has announced the nomination of three new executives to the company’s board of directors. The candidates will be up for election at the company’s 2016 annual meeting.

Retailing Today reports that candidates include Curtis Feeny, currently managing director of Voyager Capital (Seattle), Deb Henretta, a former group president for Procter & Gamble Co. (Cincinnati), and John Lundgren, chair and ceo of Stanley Black & Decker Inc. (New Britain, Conn.).

Roland Moriarty, who served on the company board for 30 years, and Basil Anderson, who served for 19 years, will be leaving the Staples board this year to retire. Raul Vazquez will not be up for reelection this year.
