Starbucks Taps Exec to Oversee Retail Group

Starbucks Coffee Co. (Seattle) announced that Cliff Burrows, who has led its American business for 8 years, will now lead Siren Retail. In his new position, Burrows will oversee the company’s new Roastery concept as well as the development of the upscale Starbucks Reserve stores, reports Chain Store Age.

There is currently one Starbucks store with a Roastery concept in Seattle, with other locations slated for New York and Shanghai.

“What we have created with the Roastery is the most dynamic, immersive retail experience the industry has ever seen,” said Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz.

Burrows’ new appointment starts in September 2016.
