MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Universal Display & Design (New York) has hired Richard Marius as business development director USA. Marius has more than 10 years of experience in both the visual and retail design industries, including working with J. Jill, Urban Outfitters, Alu and Look.

BUSINESS BRIEFS

Supervalu (Minneapolis) announced it has sold its Bristol Farms division, which included 14 stores, to a company formed through a partnership with the Bristol Farms management team and Endeavour Capital, an investment firm experienced in grocery and retail businesses. Under the terms of the sale, the stores will change ownership, but will continue to operate under the Bristol Farms name.

Lighting supplier and manufacturer Bulbrite announced company president Cathy Choi received the Residential Lighting 2010 Industry Leadership Award at the American Lighting Associations Conference in Las Vegas.

Digital Signage Expo, an international tradeshow and conference dedicated to digital signage, interactive technology and digital out-of-home networks, will feature a Platt Retail Institute End User Digital Signage Educational Forum as a pre-conference educational opportunity.
