The Beverly Center in Los Angeles has begun its annual search for its 2002 mall Santa Claus.

This being Los Angeles, however, the winning candidate will not be red-nosed, white-haired and roly-poly; he will be the shopping center's “Hunky Santa.”

According to the shopping center, “qualifications for this year's Cutie Kringle include a bod that won't quit, a personality with flash and flair, a sassy smile, sultry eyes and don't forget lap appeal. The tanned and toned finalists will flash their biceps this Fall in the final competition at an evening soiree at the Rooftop Terrace of Beverly Center. The chosen hunk will greet Beverly Center guests throughout the holiday season and is, of course, available for photo ops.”
