Partnership will launch with pop-up shop in retailer’s NY flagship
Timberland footwear will be available at select Saks Fifth Avenue stores, starting next month. To kick off this new partnership, The Timberland Co. (Stratham, N.H.) will open a pop-up shop on the seventh floor of Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship store in New York.
The temporary store will open for an 11-day run on Sept. 9, as part of New York’s “Fashion's Night Out,” a city-wide shopping event on Sept. 10 to support local retailers. To share and honor the craftsmanship behind Timberland footwear, a handsewer from Timberland’s Dominican Republic factory -- where all the company’s handsewn footwear is made -- will be on-site on Sept. 10 and Sept. 12 to demonstrate the creation of a premium shoe.
“We are proud to partner with Saks Fifth Avenue, a retailer that shares our history of style and commitment to modern craftsmanship,” said Tom Lucas, vice president of sales, Timberland North America. “As part of this debut, Timberland will be featuring our highest-echelon premium footwear collections, and we are excited to see the response from Saks customers, who are known for their discerning taste and appreciation for premium quality and authentic style.”
In addition to the New York flagship, Timberland footwear will be available at Saks’ stores in Boston, Chicago, McLean, Va., Troy, Mich., and San Francisco.
