MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Signage manufacturer Priority Sign Inc. (Sheboygan, Wis.) promoted Ron D’Alessandro to ceo. In his new role, D’Alessandro will be responsible for all operations of the company, including sales, manufacturing, project management and financials.

Lighting manufacturer Schréder Lighting LLC (Addison, Ill.) appointed Jack Duffy & Associates (Hudson, Ohio) as the company's new sales agency in Cleveland.

Schawk Inc. (Chicago), a provider of brand development and deployment services, named Lor Gold global chief creative officer. Gold will be responsible for stewarding and developing a creative vision across Schawk.

STORE OPENINGS

Tommy Hilfiger Group (New York) expects to open its largest U.K. store on Brompton Road in London in November. The 8288-square-foot two-story space will be near Harrods, Mulberry and Burberry. The store will mimic the decor of the apparel brand’s global flagship in New York, featuring polished walnut fixtures and oak floors, antique furniture, vintage props and art.

Women’s apparel brand Aritzia (Vancouver, B.C.) opened a store at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, N.J. The boutique features murals inspired by natural phenomena. Aritzia operates locations across the U.S. and Canada, including New York, Vancouver, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, Portland, Ore. and Seattle.

Flooring manufacturer Centiva announced that its manufacturing facility in Florence, Ala., achieved ISO 14001 certification, which requires meeting international standards for the requirements of an Environmental Management System (EMS). Criteria include prevention of pollution, continual improvement and compliance with national and local regulatory requirements.

Greenbuild International Conference & Expo announced its lineup of speakers for the 2011 conference, taking place October 4-7 in Toronto: New York mayor Michael Bloomberg; The New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman; medical anthropologist and physician Paul Farmer; and ABC News political commentator Cokie Roberts.

The 2011-2012 PAVE the Way 3D Design Challenge is now accepting submissions for 3-D floor fixture designs. The contest is open to college students in accredited store design, interior design, visual merchandising and industrial design programs. Finalists will work with B&N Industries to produce a prototype of their design for display at GlobalShop 2012. The deadline for entries is October 21. P-o-p display and fixture manufacturer SPC Retail Display Group moved its corporate offices, main warehouse and distribution center from Santa Fe Springs, Calif. to Chino, Calif.

Santa Monica, Calif.-based WAC Lighting’s InvisiLED 24-volt Outdoor Tape Lighting System received the Platinum ADEX Award for Design Excellence. ADEX (Awards for Design Excellence) is one of the largest awards program for product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade.
