Topman, the stand-alone fashion business counterpart of Topshop that caters to men’s clothing, will expand its London Oxford Street flagship to 23,000 square feet this month and introduce a variety of premium menswear brands.
According to U.K. fashion magazine Drapers, the store will expand up a floor, with the new area modeled after Topman’s New York store, which opened earlier this year. The expansion will open September 17 to coincide with a London Fashion Week event.
Among the new brands joining Topman’s existing offering are Baracuta, D.I.E (Denim is Everything), Garbstore, Paige Premium Denim, skate label WESC, Calvin Klein underwear, Humor, Ben Sherman and Scandinavian label Soulland. The store will also carry an expanded denim section.
“A time has come when we can confidently say that we have outgrown the current trading space,” Topman’s managing director David Shepherd told Drapers. “It’s an extremely exciting time and the new floor will really reflect that. We are offering our customer unrivalled product through our own collections as well as some of the most credible and cutting edge menswear labels out there. The new floor will really be a whole new experience – a true menswear destination – I’m confident there will be nothing like it anywhere else on the high street.”
